August Bossert and Anna Salathe were born, raised, and married in Switzerland. On March 10th, 1904, August and several of his brothers came to Canada. They probably came because they believed they could have a better life in the new world. After settling at Stirling, he brought Anna and their son, August Jr., to Canada. While living in Stirling, they had four children: Carl, Alfred, Theodore, and Max. In 1910 the family moved, by team and wagon, to a town called Wrentham. There, Anna gave birth to Ida, Willie, and Christopher. The farm grew and the children studied at the local school. On the night of May 10th, 1921, Anna Bossert died in the Lethbridge hospital. Years after Annas death, in 1927, August re-married to a woman named Mrs. Murdy but he died shortly after, in 1929.
