Hello! I'm Hailey Drebot and welcome to my Roots/Routes homepage. This page was initially created for my Canadian Studies class at school but has grown into something larger. It talks about my ancestors from when they arrived In Canada around the turn of the 20th century, to the present. Click on one of the four buttons above to view one of three family trees, or to find which of my ancestors came to Canada. All of the names on the "Routes to Canada" page and some of the names on the trees are linked to personal pages, which tell more about each individual.
Note to Mr. Garland: be sure to visit all three family trees and the "Routes to Canada" page. If known, the reasons why each individual came to Canada can be found on their personal pages. Because my ancestors that came to Canada are no longer alive, it was impossible to find out more about how they arrived here, why they came, and especially conditions they faced on their arrival. Much of the information given is composed of educated guesses, or secondhand information.
